Week - 4 Project Phase & Outline

Project Name: Pink Tots (Tentative)

Purpose: To expand on Victoria’s Secret PINK Collection™ clothing line of lounge wear for infants and toddlers, Produce higher revenue for company standards, and appeal to another cliente level

Importance: This project is important as it allows Limited Brand as a whole to expand their attire to a younger market of people which could potential gross and higher revenue and expand their marketability.

Discipline: GCS Printing and Publishing – Screen Printing and Illustration

Client: Expecting mothers of female children and current Mothers of female infants and Toddlers

Project Personnel (Majors): Marketing, Journalism & Mass Communication, Business Management, GCS Print and Publishing, GCS Integrated Internet Technology

Objectives:

-->To learn conventional, electronic and networking skills relating to printing and publishing

-->Prepares for a career in technical Illustration, digital and applied imaging, screen printing, and technical management.

-->Prepares for future Graduate level Research development and Production Management

Theme development, concept building, and group solicitation. Identify potential market, and research company background and Anthropometric data. Develop Potential name, logo, theme, colors, and mascot.

Select fabrics, research template patterns and different ink solutions for master print production. Price wholesale distributors for sample pieces.

Finalize logo, theme, colors, and mascot in preparation for stencil/screen. Schedule time with Technicians to create stencil for production

Create actual stencil for production using Lab Technicians and current Print and Publishing students.

Create templates of potential clothes as it relates to the finalized themes.

Use outside sources to develop a Marketing plan to attract buyers. Use information to create a Magazine ad that would appear in select Children/Family Magazines. Submit clothing samples for actual print.

Finalize marketing plan and produce a cost estimate for producing a “pilot” line of clothing

Review financial status as it relates to Victoria Secret’s current revenue

Obtain completed printed items; critique and revise if necessary.

Create Point of Purchase (POP) display for clothing (how it should/will appear in store) via Virtual 3-D Model using Sketch Up

Compile a small portfolio/scrap book. Include processes, thumbnails, logo ideas, and final solutions
